On March 2011, the business was registered as an entity, Centenary Microenterprise Service. The business started as microfinance consultancy serving microfinance and Sacco’s institutions. Moving forward to February 2014 the business refocused strategy to include financial intermediation to the population at the bottom of pyramid with view of enhancing financial inclusion.

March 2011

The business was registered as an entity, Centenary Microenterprise Service. The business started as microfinance consultancy serving microfinance and Sacco’s institutions.

2014
February 2014

The business refocused strategy to include financial intermediation to the population at the bottom of pyramid with view of enhancing financial inclusion.

2015
July 2015

Centenary Microenterprise Services was among 1,000 businesses from all over Africa listed to receive entrepreneurial award and $10,000 seed capital from Toney Elumelu Entrepreneurship Program (TEEP).

2015
November 2015

The business changed status from business entity to limited company incorporated under company Act Cap 486.

2016
January 2016

Centenary Microenterprise Services Ltd embarked on an aggressive 5 year strategy that saw the company re-organized into three distinct business lines; Micro- Credit , Micro-Franchise and Agribusiness.

2016
June 2016

The Company registered a Holding company, Micro-cap Holdings Ltd to manage the two business lines and grow them to become wholly owned subsidiaries.

DOMINIC KARANJA- Non-Executive Director - Chairman of the Board

Karanja has been non-Executive director since 2015. He serves as Chairman of the board and heads the executive committee He has over 11 years of banking experience focused on Credit, Operations, Treasury and special projects across sub-Saharan countries at Equity bank, Craft Silicon software firm among others. Karanja is a CPA (K) holder. Certified Public Secretary. Holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration in Strategic Management, a Bachelor degree in Business Administration in Accounting and Finance, Diploma in Information Technology and a Certificate in dealing.

FREDRICK NOBALLA - Executive Director – CEO Ideon Limited

Mr. Noballa is a successful executive with more than 10 years of experience in corporate financial and executive management. Previously, Mr. Noballa has taken up financial service advisory role with Centrica Services Ltd. He has served as Finance Director for Nairobi Hospital leading a team of 109 finance staff. Mr. Noballa is a CPA (K) holder and a member of ICPAK. He holds degree in Businesses Administration (Finance & Accounting) from USIU. He is a certified security analyst. Mr. Noballa Currently the Chief Executive Officer for Ideon Ltd and He serves in various other Boards of Directors.

PHILIP KIBET KISABIT- Executive Director – Group CEO Micro-Cap Holdings

Mr. Kisabit is a seasoned microfinance professional. He is the co-founder and Executive director of Micro-cap Holdings Ltd. He has over 14 years of Micro-Finance experience across sub-Saharan countries. Kisabit holds a Masters in Banking and Finance from Moi University and currently pursuing PHD in Entrepreneurship. He serves as a Trustees in the Board of Micro-Enterprise Support Program Trust (MESPT) He is a member of Institute of Board of directors.

HUSSEIN TUSE DIDA - Non-Executive Director – Member

Hussein Dida is currently Chief Executive Officer for Pay Connect limited, a payment platform company for microfinance and Sacco’s. He was formerly Business Development Director- Africa at Software Group BG Ltd and the Regional Sales Manager, Eastern Africa at Sybrin Kenya Ltd, an EOH Company. Dida holds a degree in Commerce Majoring in Accounting and currently pursing MBA in Strategic Management at University of Nairobi. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a certificate in ITIL Foundation. Dida Joined Board as non-Executive Director in 2016.

ALFRED MORRIS SUNZA – Executive Director –CEO CEMES Ltd

Sunza is the one of the founders and the Chief Executive Officer of Centenary Microenterprise Services Ltd, a wholly owned Micro-cap Holdings subsidiary. He has 10 years working experience in retail banking and funds management at KWFT Bank, Real People Holdings Ltd and LAPFUND. Sunza holds a MSC- Strategic Management from JKUAT and a certified pension analyst manager by America Institute of Finance. He Represents Micro-cap Holdings as an Executive Director in CEMES Ltd and chairs the management credit risk committee.

PATRICIA LANG’AT – Non-Executive Director – Member

Lang’at is a highly accomplished attorney complemented with over 10 years of experience in commercial law specifically in the areas of litigation, regulation and relevant industry experience. She holds Bachelor of Law degree from Moi University and an Advocate of High court of Kenya. Lang’at is a member of Law Society of Kenya (LSK). She is non-Executive Director and Chairs Risk and credit committee of the board.

PRISCILLA MOIRA MKANYIKA - Non-Executive Director – Member

Mkanyika is a financial service professional in areas of Tax and audit. She is founder and partner at Prime Agencies Ltd, an audit and Tax consultancy firm. Mkanyika is a graduate of Makerere University in Accounting and Finance. She is a Certified Chartered Accountant and a member of ACCA. She recently joined as non-Executive Director and heads the Audit committee & internal controls.
